WOYWW 429 - Just waiting for creativity

Happy WOYWW to you all (What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday - click HERE to join in).

There is lots going on in my life and I am struggling to keep my brain still enough to actually sit down and do some crafting.  Therefore, my desk has some random stuff on it.

Firstly - does anyone else have as many craft mats/cutting boards etc etc?  There is definitely room for a couple more on that table.

The tiny alphabet stamps from my new WeR Memory Keepers Precision Press+ set waiting to be cut up and put into the storage box.  (Read my initial review HERE.)

Alphabet stencils that are sticky on the back and I use all the time.

Some embellishments and ATC backgrounds (I am still trying to finish off an Alphabet ATC set).

Box of pens.

Book of toppers/papers from a magazine.

Mat gel, foam brush and stamp cleaning spray.

You can just see some completed ATCs.

The day is rapidly disappearing and soon it will be lunch.  This afternoon I plan a trip into town - post office, Aldi and hopefully a few balls at the golf driving range.

Perhaps I will sit down and do some Zentangle this evening - or not!

Ali x

  1. Hi Ali. Oh my word - what a lot is going on in your little grey cells - to quote Hercule Poirot! I find I get to overload if I have things like that going on, and then I would be sat down by John and we would be able to go through everything, throw out what wasn't needful, and prioritize what was. have to do it myself now, of course.... Hope you get some of the art stuff finished.
    Take care. God bless.

  3. Just have a green cutting mat and a couple of craft sheets (which I keep underneath the green one) myself. Do have a small green mat for on the go but that's it really. Not much room here. Glad you like the Gingham theme no idea what made me think of it . Thanks for the visit BJ#21

  4. Sounds like you're busy with your life, Ali - sometimes crafting has to take a back seat and that's ok! I have a similar sticky backed alphabet stencil, but haven't used it yet. They must be useful because they don't move or let the paint seep underneath! Enjoy your afternoon out and thanks for visiting earlier! zsuzsa #23

  5. I have my big glass mat, 4 x A3 self healing craft mats and 1 12" x 15" sel healing craft mat on my desk, but I work at the oversized Tonic glass mat. You certainly have lots of projects on the go. Enjoy the golf; I'm off the the footie tonight for the cup match against Rochdale. Sarah #18

  7. I layer up mine... I have a big yellow soft one, then a large green cutting mat (or may be the other way round) and then 2 non stick mats the same size as the cutting mat and finally a small one... which sometimes I remove and put to one side to mix paint on..... Happy WoYWW - hope life settles soon! Helen #4

  8. Ali, Whilst I remember you asked on my blog if you could see a close up of the white basket. If you click on the photo it will enlarge.

Hope life treats you kind and you can get some crafting done.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

    Happy WOIYWW

  9. Sometimes, it just gets like that - thoughts racing around and you can't pin them down. Going to whack a few golf balls is a great idea, you can't concentrate on anything else. Going to band practise does that for me, whatever I've been worrying about disappears while I concentrate on the music :-)

  10. Oh yes - a selection of craft mats are a must!! Mine are piled one on top of another. Sounds like you're busy - I always find a little bit of crafting before bed helps me relax and hopefully be able to get a little bit of sleep.

  13. Hi Ali. I just use my glass mat now for everything, I got fed up changing them when I wanted to use a heat gun or cut something so the glass one works brilliantly for me. Love all your random things, best way to be creative I reckon. Thanks for visiting me already.

  15. Hi Ali,
Yes I definitely have a few craft mats, but I usually have them stand up on the side of the table. You definitely need more than one craft sheet too :) Thanks for stopping at my blog earlier this week! Have a wonderful weekend! xo Cheetarah #24
